Free Research Skills Workshop

Have you ever wanted to research your family history, learn more about your home, a local industry or event, or to investigate the subject of your novel, but you don’t know how to go about it?

Whitby Town Council, working with Whitby Literary and Philosophical Society, are offering a free workshop, teaching the basics of how to start researching your subject.

The workshop will take place in the Library at Whitby Museum, 1.30-3pm on Wednesday 6th March. The sessions includes free light refreshments in the wonderful Museum Tea Room providing the opportunity to network with other interested individuals.

Participants will learn about the range of resources available and how to go about finding the information they require. We will be exploring how to use the library catalogue and learning about how the classification system works, in a relaxed, friendly group session.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. To reserve a place please phone 01947 820227 or email pannett.gallery@whitbytowncouncil.gov.uk
