Walk Complementing our Exhibition “The Unblinking Eye: 55 Years of Space Operations on Fylingdales Moor”

Military Landscapes: Sunday 8th September 11.00-14.00                                                        Free Guided Walk from Saltergate Car Park towards RAF Fylingdales   

 Dr Michael Mulvihill and Professor Rachel Woodward (human geographer specialising in military geographies, Newcastle University) will lead a walk along part of the Lyke Wake Walk towards RAF Fylingdales. The walk will make visible the complex phenomenological impressions and interactions the military and space radar has upon the landscape and environment of the North York Moors National Park.  The walk is FREE but places are very limited, for more information and to secure your place please visit our Eventbrite page by clicking here.
