Museum Closure

Women of Whitby

In 2024 Whitby Museum will be celebrating the   Women of Whitby in a special exhibition designed to showcase some of the wonderful women from Whitby past and present. We are looking for nominations of women to include in the exhibition— from Abbess Hild up to Beth Mead—we want your ideas and nominations! They could be famous, infamous, overlooked, an un-sung hero. Send your suggestions and any information you have about your nominated women to Sarah at enquiries@whitbymuseum.org.uk. Not all entries will make it into the exhibition but all will be considered.

Tea Room

The tea room is open from 10am until 3:30 pm, Tuesday—Sunday. Call in for a delicious range of cakes, snacks and light bites and drinks.  If you only wish to visit the tea room you can say so at the desk for free entry to the café.
