Maybe gently sway to the beat taking in the glorious surroundings. A limited number of pre-bookable headsets are available, with others available on the day subject to availability. Pre-booking details here. Normal admission charge applies.

“The Long Dead Stars is where electronic dance poetry meets the wonders of rocks, geology, walking, and stars. Based in Yorkshire, we are passionate about creating music and poetry that celebrates our connection to rocks, ecology, and the dark skies of Whitby and Yorkshire. Our goal is to offer a unique blend of art and science through performances and recordings, connecting with enthusiasts who share our love for the cosmic dance of the universe. Our debut album ‘Whitby Mudstone’ is available on all music streaming services and on vinyl, and we will be performing the album live as a ‘silent disco’ (i.e. with headphones) so that you can move and wander around the museum at the same time or just chill in the quiet area and enjoy the sounds”.
