A mini-exhibition celebrating the life and work of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe, renowned photographer of Whitby, its people and the surrounding area. The exhibition includes a slideshow of a selection of his best work alongside other artefacts from his life is now on in the Normanby Room at Whitby Museum.

The exhibition now includes a short video featuring Mike Shaw, formerly of the Sutcliffe Gallery, talking about the work of F.M.Sutcliffe. The film was created by photographer Sean Tucker, a full version of the video including further discussion of the work of Sutcliffe in relation to modern photography is available to view via YouTube.

The exhibition may be closed on occasion if the Normanby Room is in use for talks and lectures, so please call ahead on 01947 602908 if travelling specifically to see the Sutcliffe Exhibtion.

The exhibition will be closed on the following dates due to events taking place in the Normanby Room:
