Library & Archives Blog – meet a volunteer…

Carol is one of our volunteers and is currently doing an audit of book stock and relabelling. She started this mammoth task in the cold month of February dressed in thermals trousers, two vests, jumper and body warmer as the temperatures in the archives were cold! Local history has been her focus as it was most out of order but as you can imagine there are a few collections to work through!

Carol has been an academic librarian specialising in serials and electronic resources. During her spare time, she loves to read (of course), favourite authors are Kate Atkinson but currently reading a lot of Scottish crime novels from authors Ian Rankin, Val McDermid and Denise Mina. She also enjoys watching live sport events including cricket…Howzat!
