As well as seeing the fascinating items in our collection visitors to our Museum can also enjoy the beautiful Pannett Park, where the Museum is located. We at the Museum are delighted that Pannett Park has been awarded its eighth consecutive Green Flag. The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world. The judging criteria are that the park should be welcoming, healthy, safe & secure, clean and well maintained; also considered are sustainability, conservation and heritage, community involvement , marketing and management. Many congratulations to all those involved in working so hard to make the Park look so wonderful.
