‘200 years of collecting’ in our exhibition gallery— A look at which objects have come into the museum collection by decade and Including the film ‘The Department of Miscellaneous Curiosities ’by Anne Dodsworth, documenting the work of the museum and the Whitby Literary and Philosophical Society.
A display by the library team the main gallery looks into events in Whitby by decade is backed up by a
selection of documents and artefacts from the library archive and gives an interesting look back at how times have changed.
Up in the Costume Gallery ‘200 years of Fashion’ examines how tastes in fashion have changed over the years.
