Tender Opportunities
We are delighted to begin redeveloping and reinterpreting our Explorer’s Wing which includes artefacts about Whitby exploration including Capt James Cook and the William Scoresby’s senior and junior as well as many artefacts from our world collections.
In order to facilitate this process we are looking to appoint a freelance project manager and a freelance designer.
Project Manager
We are inviting suitably qualified and experienced consultants to tender for this work. The project will transform the visitor experience through the development of new interpretive content, exhibition design, multimedia experiences, collection displays, accessibility improvements, and supporting infrastructure. The appointed Project Manager will oversee the project from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, budget, programme, and quality standards.
Designer
We are also inviting suitably qualified and experienced consultants to tender for this design work. The appointed Designer will oversee the design elements of the project from planning through to completion, ensuring design delivery within agreed scope, budget, programme, and quality standards.
For both opportunities please send an expression of interest in the first instance to: Hazel Wright, Museum Manager to [email protected] Further information will then be supplied.
Closing date for expressions of interest Friday 31st July 2026.
