Exploring the unsung stories of the herring fisher girls. A visiting exhibition courtesy of the Suffolk Archives this exhibition looks at those working with the Herring as part of the fleets which travelled the coast from Scotland down the east coast of England, passing through Whitby on the way. Complimented by a slideshow of images of the Herring industry in Whitby find out more about this important local industry.
Exhibition runs from February 3rd 2026 – March 29th 2026.
